The Shotgun — Sporting Classics Field Guide Pocket Tee
A study in the sporting gun, drawn from the traditions of the field.
The Shotgun — Sporting Classics brings together four enduring forms of the shotgun—the Over / Under, Side-by-Side, Pump-Action, and Semi-Automatic—in the style of an old sporting field plate. Each is rendered with loose pen-and-ink character and restrained washes of color, giving the artwork the feel of a page pulled from a well-kept sporting journal rather than a modern technical illustration.
Below the guns, a series of detail studies looks closer at the familiar elements that connect them: stock, trigger and guard, fore-end, muzzle, and front bead. The composition closes with the Gulf-Atlantic Coastal Plain and three landscapes closely tied to the sporting tradition:
